PLANO-- Hilton Worldwide has unveiled its latest property in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park, a 299-room hotel located in the master-planned community of Granite Park in Plano.

“Hilton historically has enjoyed a dominant position in the greater Dallas area.  As we watched the rapidly growing north suburban market, we saw a strategic opportunity for a best-in-class hotel with the addition of Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park,” said area vice president Andy Slater to GlobeSt.com.

The opening of hotel is the latest addition to the 90-acre mixed-used development. Located at the Sam Rayburn Tollway and the Dallas North Tollway, it is located nearby Hewlett Packard, Dr Pepper/Snapple Group, PepsiCo, Siemens and J.C. Penney Co.

“We are delighted to welcome Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park to our brand's growing global portfolio of more than 550 hotels,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “Hilton is proud to return to its roots and rich Texas history where 95 years ago our founder, Conrad Hilton, got his start in hospitality with his very first hotel, The Mobley Hotel, located just 150 miles southwest of Dallas in Cisco, Texas.”

Designed by BOKA Powell, the hotel is a key part of privately held Granite Properties' commercial real estate holdings in Dallas.

“The addition of a full-service hotel to Granite Park is something which has been in our master plan since the park was first conceived,” said David Cunningham, director of development/construction for Granite Properties. “The opening of Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park is a culmination of community planning, hard work with a great team and support from our new and existing customers.”

Hotel amenities appeal to the business and leisure guest, with a spacious media bar with 12 large flat-screen televisions and a unique multi-purpose technology lounge in the lobby. Guest rooms incorporate a modern palate of upscale finishes with stone countertops, custom sinks, lighted mirrors and a mosaic back-lit tile. Each room features an ergonomic desk and 47-inch flat screen TV, mini- refrigerator and Hilton serenity bed.

“Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park is a significant addition to the Hilton portfolio of hotels,” said Timothy Benolken, senior vice president of Hotel Operations – Western North America. “This is truly an upscale hotel offering a best-in-class guest experience with amenities and service not previously available in the North Dallas market.”
