Christie to Lead Summit on Atlantic City's Woes

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ—Gov. Chris Christie will hold a closed-door summit here of approximately 30 politicians, casino executives, and labor leaders to discuss the crisis facing Atlantic City with three casino closures this year and another set to shut down later this month.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ—Gov. Chris Christie will hold a closed-door summit here of approximately 30 politicians, casino executives, and labor leaders today to discuss the crisis facing Atlantic City with three casino closures this year and another set to shut down later this month.

The summit, not open to the public or the press, will be held at an Atlantic City office building, according to the Star-Ledger. “There’s not going to be any solutions coming out of this meeting,” says State Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D-Gloucester). “There’s going to be conversations.”
