MIAMI—Three years after igniting the current vertical residential development boom in South Florida, Melo Group has launched sales for its newest condominium tower, Aria on the Bay. The new project is set to rise in Downtown Miami's Arts & Entertainment District.

In celebration of the launch, more than 750 guests made their way to the Adrienne Arsht Center on Thursday evening to enjoy a theatrical night on stage—a nod to the tower's opera-inspired “ARIA” name. Following a presentation about the upcoming property, attendees mixed and mingled over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and enjoyed breakout performances throughout the night. Notable attendees included City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado; Miami Commissioners Marc Sarnoff and Frank Carollo; Cervera Real Estate's Alicia Cervera Lamadrid; and Melo principals Jose Luis Melo, Carlos Melo and Martin Melo.

The ultra-luxury, 53-story tower will be completely designed by Arquitectonica—from the architecture, to the interiors, to the landscape design—and will feature a prime bayfront location overlooking Margaret Pace Park with direct views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami Beach skyline. Construction of Aria on the Bay is estimated to begin in early 2015, with completion slated for 2017.
