DALLAS--The NAI Robert Lynn Retail Division has arranged the lease of a 4,315-square-foot retail space in One Arts Plaza to the Chicago-based restaurant Yolk.
Kornel Romada, vice president of the NAI Robert Lynn Retail Division and Spero Adamis, managing broker from Cornerstone Commercial, represented the tenant in the transaction.
“I am excited to expand our Yolk brand to Dallas. It is a great city and I am confident the people here will be huge fans of our concept,” said Yolk owner Taki Kastanis. “I can think of no better place than Dallas to open our first Texas location.”
Kastanis selected Dallas' Arts District as his restaurant's first Texas location because it is a desirable area for in the heart of the revitalized Arts District and is within proximity of Downtown Dallas as well as Uptown. Yolk will be located at 1722 Routh St., and is expected to open next month.
“I am honored to have had the chance to represent Yolk and its entry to the Dallas-Fort Worth market,” said Romada. “It was apparent that Yolk would need a site with high daytime population and accessibility due to the large following that it attracts. I experienced Yolk several years ago, and as a long-time customer and fan, I am extremely happy they will be in my backyard.”
Yolk, a high-end breakfast and lunch dining experience, began in 2006 in Chicago's South Loop area. Known for unique dishes and a lively atmosphere, the restaurant has only recently expanded across the country in upscale, urban areas. The restaurant has a cult following and has won awards for its Chicago locations such as “Best Breakfast” by the Zagat in 2008 from Citysearch.com, “#1 breakfast” by Fox News viewers in Chicago that same year and a feature on the cover of Dining Out Chicago Magazine in 2010.
