DALLAS, TX–Panda Energy, a privately held company, and Panda Power Funds, a private equity fund specializing in the development and acquisition of environmentally friendly power plants, are moving their combined headquarters to Providence Towers in North Dallas.
“We are thrilled about moving into our new home at Providence Towers,” said Janice Carter, CEO of Panda Energy. “Panda has been in the same location for more than 30 years, so this is an important step for the future of our companies.
Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. led the company through the site selection and negotiation process. Robbie Baty, Charlie Beck, Maureen Kelly and Bill McClung represented both Panda Energy and Panda Power Funds in the transaction, which took more than two years to complete. Panda Energy has occupied offices at 4100 Spring Valley Road in Dallas since 1982; Panda Power Funds has occupied the same space since its formation in 2010.
Panda will lease the former Henry S. Miller offices, just over 39,000 square feet on the top two floors of the twelve-story building. The lease includes top-of-building signage on the west side of the newly renovated Providence Towers. Other new amenities include a luxury putting green and a wine lounge for tenants. Additionally, the space has an internal stairwell connecting the two floors. Kim Brooks, Scott Walker and Justin Miller from Transwestern represented the owner, KBS Realty Advisors.
“This move will improve Panda's space efficiencies, provide an upgraded image for their team and better reflect their corporate culture,” said Baty, director at Cushman & Wakefield. “The vacancy at Providence Towers was only on the market for six weeks and presented a unique opportunity which will fit their needs perfectly for the long-term future.”
