FORT WORTH--Overland Sheepskin Co. will open its first Texas store in Fort Worth just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The Fairfield, Iowa-based retailer, which originally has roots in the mountains of Taos, New Mexico, will open a 4,400-square-foot store in downtown Fort Worth's Sundance Square, in the Old City National Bank Building. Construction is set to begin this month at the location which is adjacent to the Worthington Renaissance Hotel.
“Overland has a classic, rich product line that will pair nicely with the other exclusive retailers in Sundance Square such as Leddy's Ranch,” said Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square. “Attracting retail shops continues to be a top priority and having another specialized retailer in the mix just adds to the diversity of Sundance Square.”
Founded by the Leahy Family in 1973, the company features a unique product line including apparel such as shearling coats, leather jackets as well as sheepskin and cowhide rugs.
Company reps say has the brand has loyal Texas customers who currently shop at Overland's New Mexico and Colorado stores, and online at Overland.com.
