HACKENSACK, NJ—Alfred Sanzari Enterprises is helping to make the holidays brighter for community members in need with its first annual “Giving Thanks Food Drive.” The real estate development firm is working in conjunction with The Church on the Green, located at 42 Court Street in Hackensack. The church provides the city's homeless with nutritious dinners twice each week.

Non-perishable donations will be accepted from Wed., Oct. 1 through Fri., Nov. 14 at three Bergen County locations: Alfred Sanzari Enterprises' corporate offices at the Court Plaza office complex (25 Main Street, Suite 600, Hackensack); the lobby of Heights Plaza (777 Terrace Ave., Hasbrouck Heights); and the lobby of The Ivanhoe (130 Overlook Ave., Hackensack). For those unable to deliver donations, pickups are available. Please e-mail [email protected] to schedule a pickup.

Suggested donations include canned meats, peanut butter, jelly (no glass jars), canned or dry soups, canned stews and chili, tea bags, ground coffee, canned pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, hot and cold cereal, rice, cake and pancake mix, syrup, powdered milk, packaged pasta meals, juice boxes and canned juice, canned beans, Spam, canned gravy, granulated sugar, baby food and cereal (glass jars accepted), baby formula, granola and cereal bars, along with other non-perishable food items.
