SAN FRANCISCO—Barker Pacific Group (BPG), says that its landmark building, One Sansome Street, has achieved LEED Platinum v4 certification—the highest level of certification in environmental sustainability from the US Green Building Council. One Sansome is the only building in San Francisco to achieve the v4 certification, and the second commercial building in its class worldwide.

“The team at One Sansome has worked hard to gain this first LEED Platinum v4 certification with guidance from our LEED consultant BuildingWise,” said Michael Barker,managing director of Barker Pacific Group. “Completing the LEED program's newest Platinum v4 shows Barker Pacific Group's dedication to being a market-leader and environmental advocate, proving that even stringent green building practices can be successfully incorporated into long-lived office buildings.”

The US Green Building Council originally awarded the building a LEED Gold rating in 2010. Since receiving the Gold status, Barker Pacific greatly increased the building's efficiency and decreased waste produced.
