LOS ANGELES—Eddie Prosser has joined AssetAvenue, a crowdfunding platform that launched in April of this year, as SVP of real estate investments, GlobeSt.com reports exclusively. The 10-year industry veteran was formerly an FDIC account officer. In this new role, he will help the company grow and expand its relationships with lenders and borrowers, and help to build the platform's technology services.

“Joining AssetAvenue allows me to leverage and combine my core competencies along with my passion for entrepreneurship and technology,” Prosser tells GlobeSt.com about joining crowdfunding start-up. “The company just this month announced its seed funding of $3 million, and we are poised for significant growth in the near term—it's exciting for me to be a part of such a fast-paced, dynamic team.”

At AssetAvenue, Prosser will be responsible for “underwriting, originations, asset management, and building strategic business operations,” which he knows well. Prior to joining Asset Avenue, Prosser served in a senior position at Legacy Partners, where he managed multifamily and mixed-use acquisition and development opportunities. Earlier in his career, he served as an account officer at the FDIC, managing and disposing of real estate assets from failed entities, like institutions. In his lofty career, he has hand a hand, either in the acquisition, disposition, financing or management, in more then $1.5 billion of real estate assets.

Prosser will leverage his vast experience at AssetAvenue to build and expand the company's underwriting, origination and management platforms. “I plan to utilize my acquisition and finance background from Innovative Communities and Legacy Partners to further develop sophisticated and streamlined underwriting policies and procedures, in addition to leveraging my diverse asset class and deal flow experience from the FDIC,” he says. “Our investments focus on commercial real estate notes secured by hard assets such as office buildings, industrial properties and shopping centers, which traditionally offer high, stable returns. We do all the legwork to make investing in commercial real estate fast and simple.”
