ISELIN, NJ—Audit, tax advisory, and accounting giant Grant Thornton LLP has relocated from Edison, NJ, to 186 Wood Ave. S. in Iselin, NJ. The total space leased is 31,288 square feet.

This week, nearly 200 Grant Thornton employees relocated to the new office from its former location at 399 Thornall St. in Edison.

“This move reinforces our commitment to the continued growth of the firm's Metro New York practice, including better allocation of our people in the region,” says Frank Kurre, Grant Thornton's Metro New York & New England managing partner. “The Iselin office accommodates our growing specialty tax areas and our increased focus on business advisory services in the Metro New York market in addition to the rapid growth of our mainline audit and tax practices. Through our commitment to our current and future clients in the New Jersey marketplace, we expect to see significant growth in the coming years.”

The new space is designed to support employee collaboration and innovation. All workspaces have access to natural light as well as modern conference and team rooms, which include the most current AV and video conferencing capabilities.

The firm's Iselin office was designed to reduce Grant Thornton's carbon footprint. The newly renovated space is seeking LEED Silver certification.

Correction, 9/29/2014: An earlier version of this story included a photo caption describing the office as Grant Thornton's "new headquarters." The firm is actually headquartered in Chicago. The new office is the firm's New Jersey headquarters.
