HOUSTON--KB Home has acquired land in a prime Houston commercial corridor for a new community of mid-priced homes called Hollister Commons, to be located in Houston's Spring Branch submarket.

"Hollister Commons is in an ideal location where we knew homeowners would not only appreciate the great community but also the beautiful homes we can build at a tremendous value," Cara Kane, KB Home spokesperson, told GlobeSt.com.

Located inside the Beltway near Interstate 10 and Highway 290, the Central West neighborhood will offer residents close proximity to downtown Houston and the Energy Corridor.

“Location is one of the most important factors buyers consider when deciding to purchase a home, and Hollister Commons presents an ideal opportunity to live in an established area that offers short commutes to thriving business and employment centers, well-regarded schools, and shopping, entertainment and other metropolitan conveniences,” says Jim Harrison, president of KB Home's Houston division. “[Homeowners] will be able to take advantage of everything this vibrant area has to offer from the comfort of a smartly-designed home personalized for the way they want to live.”

The 44 single-family residences will likely begin in the low $300,000's. Hollister Commons homebuyers will be able to customize nearly everything about their home, from selecting their specific lot location, floor plan and structural features to picking decor, technology and sustainability-focused components.

KB Home currently provides new home sales in 30 communities throughout the greater Houston area; Hollister Commons is scheduled to deliver in the summer of 2015.
