SEATTLE—Commercial real estate veteran, Joe Malaspino, has been named director of engineering in Kidder Mathews' property management division. As Director of Engineering, Malaspino will lead, organize, and manage Kidder Mathews' building engineering business, including sustainability practices, throughout the firm's West Coast properties. "This is a new position, created to lead and grow Kidder Mathews' already robust building engineering business,” said Keith Kaiser, Kidder Mathews' executive vice president, property management services. “The Director of Engineering will be a resource to and advocate for our engineering teams, further develop our capabilities, and contribute greatly to our client and tenant relationships," said Kaiser.

Malaspino holds the designations of FMA and RPA and brings 17 years of experience in commercial real estate building operations. His background includes work as general manager for Transwestern, account executive at Siemens, general manager at CBRE, chief engineer with Trammell Crow/CBRE, and engineering manager for the Westin Building Exchange.

Kidder Mathews is one of the largest independently owned commercial real estate firms on the West Coast, with over 450 real estate professionals and staff in nine offices in Washington, Oregon, and California.
