FREMONT, CA—Homebuilder The True Life Companies has increased its holdings in California's East Bay, closing escrow on 3 acres planned for 78 attached homes. The property is located in Fremont, on the corner of Mission Boulevard and Stevenson Boulevard. The firm acquired the property in a joint venture with Värde Partners, Inc., an investment manager based in Minneapolis.

TTLC's expansion in the Bay Area is being spearheaded by the managing director in the region, Scott Menard, who has more than two decades of experience locally, and has held key positions with several large homebuilders, including Waypoint Homes, SummerHill Homes and Taylor Woodrow Homes (now Taylor Morrison).

Menard explains the appeal of the property: "This submarket of the Bay Area, bordering the Silicon Valley, is a high demand area. The location is exceptional with close proximity to jobs in the East Bay, and within an easy commute of major employers in San Jose and the rest of Silicon Valley. The property fits the 'sweet spot' for affordable homes in this submarket." Menard also noted that the company is very confident in the strength and stability of the Bay Area region and is actively pursuing multiple other opportunities to grow its portfolio in the area.
