MIAMI—Earlier this week, I reported on the sale of an 11-building office park next to Miami International Airport. An affiliate of CBRE Global Investors purchased the building from Hines.

Of course, it's no surprise who got the exclusive leasing gig. The question is how CBRE plans to raise Airport Corporate Center's occupancy from its current 78% to over 90% in the next six months. CBRE's Diana Parker, Richard Bamonte, and Janette Driggers are charged with that task. CBRE's Lisa Jesmer and Suzanne Russo will handle property management.

"CBREGI's approach to tenant services is like nothing the Miami business community has ever experienced before,” Parker tells GlobeSt.com. “In the very near future you will be hearing a lot more about this ownership's unique 5-Star Worldwide Program to be introduced to the park's tenants that will truly be a game changer by raising the tenant experience.”

Parker suggests we should watch for news about capital projects planned for the park which will re-position and elevate the 1 million-square-foot office park's status in a competitive Miami market. The suburban office park is located at 7200-7665 Corporate Center Drive in Miami, FL.

“New ownership brings new energy and new opportunities for the Miami office community,” says Patricia Nooney, senior managing director of CBRE Florida Investor Services. “With global quality institutional ownership and capital improvements on the way, Airport Corporate Center is poised to become a world-class office destination and the future home of some of the world's most admired companies.”

CBRE is planning a wave of capital improvements over the next year, including exterior and interior building and landscaping upgrades. CBRE will implement CBRE Global Investors' 5-Star Worldwide service and amenity program, including the addition of conference centers and a fitness center, that Parker pointed out.

Airport Corporate Center sits on 45 acres next to Miami International Airport and Miami's two main thoroughfares, the Palmetto Expressway and the Dolphin Expressway. The property includes both mid-rise and single-story office buildings with both structured and surface parking.
