EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ—CW Solutions, a national real estate services firm specializing in the utilities and wireless telecommunications industries, has been certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) under the New Jersey Unified Certification Program (NJ UCP), an initiative that streamlines the certification process.

"It really opens up our doors for bidding on transportation projects," CW Solutions president Stacie Curtis tells GlobeSt.com in an exclusive audio interview you can hear at the bottom of this story. "For example, they are doing a huge project on the New Jersey Turnpike, and part of that project is acquiring properties that are running along the NJ Turnpike. Our company would be able to come in and provide title services, easement acquisitions, whether it be temporary or permanent, construction or for access or lay-down areas."

As a certified DBE, CW Solutions joins a diverse supplier directory of contractors and subcontractors shared by NJ Transit, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The purpose of certification includes creating a level playing field on which DBEs can compete for contracts, according to the DOT. While DBE is a national program, firms are certified in their “home state.”
