ST. LOUIS—Marcus & Millichap has just brought on Brett Chetek as a St. Louis-based senior director in its national retail group. Chetek is returning to M&M from CBRE, where he was a senior vice president.

“Brett made this move for the benefit of his clients,” says Matthew Fitzgerald, first vice president and regional manager. “I am happy that our platform attracts and can support agents of his caliber. Brett has a highly customized and multi-disciplinary approach to both the institutional and private capital markets. He can execute not only in St. Louis, but on a regional and national basis. I am thrilled Brett has returned to Marcus & Millichap, and I look forward to our continued work together to build our market.”

Chetek specializes in capital market advisory services, representing institutional clients on the acquisition and disposition of investment properties. He has experience in single assets and multi-market portfolios, equity placement, market research, portfolio planning, property marketing and valuations.

“Marcus & Millichap has a true entrepreneurial spirit that is paramount to marketing properties, building relationships, and representing clients' best interests,” says Chetek. “St. Louis is an exceptional Marcus & Millichap market. There is significant local ownership, and the firm's platform works very well here. The ability to be able to make a call, see an owner and have lunch together fits in very well with our relationship-building culture.”

Chetek has advised in transactions valued at over $1 billion in total. He brings with him a large portfolio that includes institutional clients, financial institutions and private investment groups, including a multi-state, neighborhood centers portfolio with 33 properties and an asking price of $108 million.
