DALLAS--McCarthy Building Companies Inc. recently hired Charles A. Buescher III as its vice president of business development for the firm's Dallas office. Buescher will lead business development activities and client relationships in Texas, focusing on McCarthy's commercial and healthcare business.

With more than two decades of business development experience, Buescher's background includes leading multi-disciplinary internal and external team members to secure more than $1 billion in projects throughout his career. Prior to joining McCarthy, Buescher served as director of business development at Adolfson & Peterson Construction in Richardson.

"Charles has deep relationships with many of our current and future clients, and he has a very good reputation within the subcontractor and design communities. His work experience and exemplary talent will be beneficial to the growth and success of McCarthy's Texas team," said McCarthy Texas region president Mike McWay. "We are excited to welcome Charles to McCarthy.”  

Buescher received a bachelor's degree in environmental design, architectural engineering and architecture from the University of Kansas. He became a LEED-accredited in 2006 and is a licensed architect in the states of Texas and Missouri. He also is a member of TEXO, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America.
