EDISON, NJ —Cassidy Turley negotiated the sale and lease of a 63,000 square-foot warehouse at 930 New Durham Road in Edison, NJ. The buyer, DCT industrial Trust, plans to upgrade the property, which The Lennox International Group has leased as a warehouse for pet treats.
Cassidy Turley executive managing director Chuck Fern and vice president Jason Barton represented DCT, which was led internally by Tom Tucci, senior vice president, and the seller, Dweck 30th/Inc. Fern and Barton also negotiated the lease with Lennox.
DCT will upgrade the 63,613 square foot, freestanding building that features 22' ceilings and nine tailgate docks. New office spaces will be added and lighting upgrades and other exterior and interior improvements will be implemented to meet the new tenant's needs. Lennox leased the facility to expand its East Coast distribution.
“Our longstanding relationship with DCT Industrial Trust enabled us to match the right investment that complements the existing portfolio as well as secure a tenant like Lennox that wanted to expand distribution in this key industrial market,” says Fern.
