HOUSTON-- Hunington Properties Inc., a commercial brokerage company, has announced the sale of the Cypress Station Shopping Center, a 143,000-square-foot center located near FM 1960 and Interstate 45.

This is the buyer's second acquisition in the Houston market this year. According to Stephen Pheigaru, director of retail development at Hunington, his client is actively looking to acquire a few additional centers by the end of 2014.

Kris Von Hohn, Tom Salanty and Chris Harden with Cushman & Wakefield represented seller, Weingarten Realty Investors. Pheigaru represented the buyer, a private REIT in Canada who plans on enhancing the property, which is between The Woodlands and downtown Houston, with a light renovation of the parking lot and facade. Hunington will retain the lease of the property.
