WASHINGTON, DC—The General Services Administration, after receiving lukewarm interest from other building owners, decided to renew two agency leases at the 1800 M St. NW building here.

The GSA has decided to renew the leases of the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals and the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission for another 10 years at the building.

The GSA, in a notice posted Nov. 5 to FedBizOpps.gov, stated it received four responses, including one from its current landlord, to a call for expressions of interest from landlords issued in June 2013. Of those, it rejected one that did not fit its requirements, and two others were found to have been more expensive when factoring in move and build-out costs, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The agencies lease a combined 56,354 square feet and the current lease was set to expire on Jan. 31, 2015. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
