PHILADELPHIA, PA—Arthur P. Pasquarella, CRE, executive vice president, COO, Equus Capital Partners, Ltd., received the 2014 Committee Service Award from The Counselors of Real Estate.

The honor recognizes Pasquarella's overall dedication to committee service, including serving on the finance, membership development, strategic planning, education, international, board of directors, and many task forces during his 23 years of membership.

The Committee Service Award is given annually to a member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, selflessness, and extraordinary effort.

In presenting the award, 2014 CRE chair Hugh F. Kelly Ph.D. noted Pasquarella's “legendary” diplomatic skills, exemplified by his three-year chairmanship of The Counselors' International Committee during which he “patiently yet relentlessly guided formation of The Counselors' first European Chapter,” a highly diverse group of members representing a variety of countries and cultures.

“His tenacity, ever-present approachability, painstaking attention to detail, and intrinsic understanding of the human psyche are the characteristics that set him apart and make the difference,” says Kelly.

“I am honored to receive the Committee Service Award and want to acknowledge the contributions of the many Counselors and staff members who have worked with me over many years,” says Pasquarella. “My committee experience has enriched me both professionally as well as personally. I encourage other Counselors to become active so that they may achieve the same level of fulfillment that I have been fortunate to have reached.”

A CRE since 1991, and the organization's 2010 chairman, Pasquarella also serves as a trustee of The CRE Foundation, and was a member of the 2007 James Felt Committee, formed to select the recipient of the organization's annual Creative Counseling Award. In 2009, he was the architect of the organization's sponsorship initiative and built it into today's highly successful, multi-tiered plan.

Pasquarella holds a master's degree in real estate appraisal and investment analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1980) and a bachelor's degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University (1979). He is a member of the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate board and an advisory board member of the Penn State Center for Real Estate Studies. As a long-time supporter of the National Kidney Foundation, Pasquarella has served as the 2010–2012 chair of the board of directors of the organization's Delaware Valley division and recently has been elected to serve as the organization's 2015–2016 national board chair.
