MOUNT RAINIER, MD—The Redevelopment Authority of Prince George's County has selected The Menkiti Group for a mixed-use development at the 3300 block of Rhode Island Avenue here.

The plan calls for a mix of commercial and residential space. The Menkiti Group is hoping to finalize a land disposition agreement with the Redevelopment Authority and expects to begin construction on the $4-million project in mid-2015, according to the Washington Business Journal.

"We're based in Brookland, we've been here for 10 years, but we have been wanting to do something in Prince George's for a while," Menkiti Group vice president of development Mark Rengel says. "We're looking to have this project be one of many in the neighborhood."
