DALLAS—With the Dallas/Fort Worth industrial market on the upswing, rental rates are rising and the amount of new construction is keeping those rates at an affordable level.

But what is driving the demand in the Dallas industrial market? You can find out the answer to that question and more on Thursday at the RealShare Dallas conference at the W Hotel-Victory Park.

Moderator Ronald L. Holmes, founder of the Holmes Firm PC, will lead a panel featuring Allen Gump, executive vice president of Colliers International's industrial division; Josh McArtor, executive vice president of CBRE; Brett Owens, principal/managing director of Transwestern's brokerage services; Rob Riner, partner at Panattoni Development Co.; and Jeff D. Thornton, regional senior vice president-Texas at Duke Realty Corp.

Gump told GlobeSt.com his area of expertise is in industrial brokerage. According to the D Real Estate Daily blog, he was elected to serve on the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors' national executive committee last year, where he is currently serving a four-year term.

Other panel discussions at the event include “Institutional Capital Markets,” “Transactions in Focus” and “Town Hall Power Panel: State of the Market.”
