PARSIPPANY, NJTranswestern has received the Heart Award from the New Jersey chapter of The Building Owners and Managers Association, recognizing the firm's dedication to its community through volunteer work and charitable initiatives.

“We are honored to receive the BOMA Heart Award, which gives much-deserved recognition to our passionate team,” says Erika Toscani, vice president of Property Management at Transwestern and member of BOMA's New Jersey Board of Directors. “As a company, Transwestern has always been committed to the betterment of the communities it serves. That same commitment remains a deep-rooted passion of our team members, who were actively involved in more than 200 community and charity organizations last year alone.”

Since its inception in 2011, Transwestern's New Jersey office has led numerous charitable initiatives including the donation of more than 300 pounds of food to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, volunteering at the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown and supporting Dress for Success. In addition, charitable contributions have been made to the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, ALS Association, Cornerstone Family Programs, Theta Phi Omega, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and Lauren's Angels.

Transwestern's Property Management team has sponsored a number of activities such as collecting food and recyclable electronics, blood donations and annual events on Earth Day to promote environmental awareness at the firm's LEED-certified offices at 300 Kimball Drive.

Each year, BOMA New Jersey gives the Heart Award to a property management firm that exemplifies the effectiveness of community service.
