NEW YORK CITY—Eastern Consolidated has expanded its capital advisory division with the addition of Sammy Abdalla, who joins the firm as a director.

Most recently he was a managing director at Customers Bank, where he was part of the management team that launched the firm's New York City commercial banking group. Abdalla also led a team of bankers and support staff that sourced commercial real estate loans, commercial loans to middle market companies, and corporate deposits.

Throughout his more than 15 years of experience with financial institutions, Abdalla has held positions with Capital One Bank, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Textron Financial Corp. and Provident Bank.

In his new role, Abdalla will be responsible for working with commercial real estate owners, operators, and developers to help arrange for debt and equity financing. He will also use his extensive commercial banking background and formal credit training to underwrite, structure, and arrange for commercial loans to middle market companies.

“As our Capital Advisory Division continues to grow it was important that we bring in an experienced, sophisticated originator who is adept at arranging financing at all levels,” says Daun Paris, president, Eastern Consolidated. “Sammy will fit in perfectly with the division we are building both as a business unit and as part of our collaborative culture.”

Eastern's growing capital advisory division is comprised of professionals who have experience in arranging permanent and short-term debt funding, construction loans, mezzanine financing, preferred equity, and joint venture equity for a variety of major asset types throughout the United States. These assets include properties in a variety of CRE sectors, including multifamily, office, retail, mixed-use, industrial, hospitality and more.
