CHICAGO—IDI Gazeley, an Atlanta-based investor and developer of warehouses and distribution parks, has just appointed new regional directors for the Midwest and Central Northeast regions. Chicago-based Tom George will take over the company's newly formed Midwest region, and Doug Armbruster, based in Cincinnati, will lead the Central Northeast. Both will lead capital deployment and operations in their respective regions, including building acquisitions, dispositions, development, asset management and other tasks.

The Midwest region includes markets such as Chicago, Memphis, Nashville, Salt Lake City, and Toronto. Armbruster's will serve markets in New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington, DC.

“During Tom's 25-year tenure with the company, he has been responsible for the development of more than 2,000 acres of land in 18 business parks, along with approximately 26-million-square-feet of industrial and office facilities,” says Bryan Blasingame, executive vice president and chief investments officer. “His focus on customer service will be an asset to the Midwest region team, as well as current and potential customers.”

Prior to joining IDI Gazeley in 1995, Armbruster was market officer at Prologis in Cincinnati, Louisville and Indianapolis. To date, he has been involved with about 16-million-square-feet of development and leasing activity throughout the region. Armbruster's area includes an operating portfolio of more than eight-million-square-feet and almost six-million-square-feet of buildable space. The company currently has 1.6-million-square-feet under development.

“The expansion of Doug's responsibilities is a testament to his ability to provide our customers the right space in the right place,” Blasingame adds. “This, combined with his proven track record of providing quality service expected of IDI Gazeley, will complement the Central Northeast region as market demand continues to grow.”
