DALLAS--Realty Capital Management LLC, the developer of the 150-acre Lakeside DFW, has announced that it has leased approximately 76 percent of the phase I restaurant, retail and office space under construction at the project.
The first phase of the development, located at FM 2499 and Lakeside Parkway adjacent to Lake Grapevine in Flower Mound, consists of six Mediterranean-style mixed-use buildings with approximately 50,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor plus a 45,000-square-foot entertainment complex called Moviehouse & Eatery.
Completion of the six buildings is slated for January, with businesses opening throughout the first and second quarters of next year.
“We held 32 public meetings with the residents of Flower Mound before this project received zoning approval,” Jimmy Archie, managing director of Realty Capital Management, told GlobeSt.com. “The most requested item on the wish list from residents was unique restaurants and outdoor dining. We designed the first phase of the project with three restaurant anchor spaces to accommodate these types of users.”
The three dining concepts, Carvao Prime Brazilian Steakhouse, Taverna del Lago and Paradise Bistro and Coffee Co. were “created specifically for The Shops at Lakeside,” says Archie.
Other retail components include Bottle & Bottega art/entertainment space, Elite Pups Luxury Dog Daycare & Spa, Majestic Nail Spa, The Lodge Barbershop and Amber Michelle Salon.
“Creating the right mix of businesses takes a tremendous amount of time but we feel it is well worth our efforts for the long-term success of the project,” Archie says. “This announcement is just the beginning and there is still a lot of work to do to add to this list.”
