NEW YORK CITY—Hines has promoted Byron LaMotte to managing director in the firm's office here.

Most recently, he served as director on the 53W53 project, working as the lead coordinator that brought about the closing of this development. Byron is now joining Hines' capital markets group, where he will be focused on US direct investments.

He joined Hines in 2008 to work in the New York development office and has worked across all disciplines of Hines' business including acquisitions, management, leasing and development.

In addition to underwriting new investment opportunities across the New York metro region, he has worked on major development projects including 56 Leonard.
