MILWAUKEE—HSA Commercial Real Estate's effort to fully transform a collection of obsolete suburban warehouses into an upscale retail center just got another boost. HomeGoods has executed a lease for a 22,454-square-foot space in the second phase of the suburban Wauwatosa site, dubbed the Mayfair Collection. The second phase is now under construction and the home furnishings and accessories store will open in fall 2015.

Chicago-based HSA officially opened the development's roughly 270,000-square-foot first phase on April 3. When complete, the project will have 400,000-square-feet of retail space. HomeGoods will join DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, Nordstrom Rack, Dick's Sporting Goods, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Ulta Beauty, and other stores at the site.

The company has repurposed functionally obsolete warehouse buildings along Hwy. 45 into new, contemporary retail environments. As reported in GlobeSt.com, Whole Foods Market will anchor the project's second phase. The grocer signed a 45,150-square-foot lease for a converted warehouse building at the northeast corner of Burleigh St. and 112th St.
