NORTHVALE, NJ—Saying its manufacturing plant here is outdated, officials with Gnutti Carlo USA are closing its factory here and relocating 86 jobs to Jacksonville, AL.

The valve and fuel injection device manufacturing firm acquired WH Industries, a car parts maker in December 2012. The Northvale and Jacksonville facilities were WH facilities, according to The Record.

Gnutti Carlo USA, the subsidiary of an Italian company, reported the closing to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development in compliance with the federal WARN Act.

Company spokesperson Jessie Bahrs says some workers were moved south in July, and the remainder of the employees at the Northvale plant will be moved by the first quarter of next year. See story in The Record.
