BOSTON—Synergy Investments has added Aengus McAllister to its Boston team as associate director of leasing.

“We are pleased to welcome Aengus to our firm as part of our plan for strategic growth,” comments Maura Moffatt, managing director of investments. “Aengus will be a vital asset to our team as we continue to expand our portfolio and provide the highest level of service to over 400 tenants.”

Prior to joining Synergy, McAllister worked on the acquisitions team at AEW Capital Management here. While there, he assisted in the financial evaluation and negotiation of a wide range of core commercial real estate assets in the $15 million to $150 million range.

During his time at the firm, he was involved in the underwriting and acquisition of over $200 million of commercial real estate assets throughout the New England region. He also has served as director of business development at Vanguard Health Systems.

In his new role, McAllister will work alongside James Grady, senior director of leasing, while he focuses on all asset and tenant functions relating to the firm's growing portfolio. McAllister will be responsible for solidifying Synergy's tenant base, coordinating lease transactions, and maintaining key broker relationships.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join one of Boston's most innovative and well-respected real estate investment firms,” says McAllister. “I was attracted to Synergy's talented leadership, deep market knowledge, and distinguished portfolio. I look forward to working alongside an industry leader like Jim Grady, maintaining Synergy's high level of tenant retention and contributing my unique skill set to the firm.”
