Demo Making Room for Condo Tower

AUSTIN, TX—Riverside Resources will tear down the former Texas Press Association building to build a 39-story tower.

AUSTIN, TX—The former headquarters of the Texas Press Association, 718 W. Fifth St. is being demolished this week to make way for a new high-rise condo tower.

The Austin Business Journal says a local firm, Riverside Resources, purchased the property with plans to erect a 39-story condo tower that will be one of the tallest buildings in Austin. Demolition is expected to take about two weeks, and construction will take close to three years.
