SANTA CLARA, CA—An investment group has moved on an empty building in Santa Clara that had been home to Abbott Laboratories and the new owners plan to renovate the facility. This according to a report today in the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Kinship Capital, Pearlmark Real Estate Partners and Insight Realty are identified in the article as the joint-venture partners who acquired 5301 Patrick Henry Drive. The 127,000-square-foot building on seven acres is notable for its distinctive roof line. The Journal says the new owners will remove that roof ornamentation, add a glass lobby and open the interiors. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
