PHOENIX—Keyser has launched the first-of-its-kind free commercial real estate iOS app, the Keyser Office Space Calculator, to help office tenants quickly estimate how much potential office space they need.
For years, company executives have struggled to accurately calculate their office space needs. The options prior to the creation of this new app were either to use an overly generalized square foot per employee industry estimate, various excel spreadsheets, or a cumbersome and time consuming process requiring that the company hire a qualified architect/space planner.
Jonathan Keyser, founder, tells GlobeSt.com, “The new Keyser iPhone app is simple, user-friendly, and in five to seven minutes, can give the average office user a good feel for how much space they need.”
According to Keyser, getting a better idea on the front end of a company's actual space requirements can save companies significant time, money and resources and ensure that they do not waste time and effort looking at properties that are improperly sized for their requirements.
“Improving office space planning on the front end can lead to both significant savings and cost avoidance”, says Keyser. “We have been looking across the commercial real estate landscape for years trying to find a better solution than the status quo. After not liking any of the options we found, we finally decided to create this first-of-its-kind iOS app to fill this void and help companies across the globe with their real estate planning.
“This is a game changer for the average office space user', says Keyser. “It doesn't replace architects or space planners who are still essential for the space design process, but in five to seven minutes, you can really get a quick calculation for how much square footage you need.”
The app takes into consideration most required working environments, as well as office space and work station assumptions, common areas, training and meeting areas, server rooms, and storage space.
