NEW YORK CITY—Colliers International has snapped up James De Luca, a 30-year veteran of Cushman & Wakefield, to serve as a senior managing director of tri-state operations. De Luca has spent his entire career at Cushman.

Most recently a senior director, De Luca will continue his broad range of activities, which include tenant representation, landlord representation, sales brokerage, and consultation services.

Among his many career highlights, De Luca has arranged significant transactions on behalf of ownership for properties such as 1177 Ave. of the Americas and for the RJR Nabisco headquarters in Atlanta, as well as many others in the New York metro region and throughout the United States.

De Luca also has arranged significant leasing and consulting assignments for major firms both in the US and abroad, including Air France, Alitalia (North and South America), Bank of Nova Scotia, Help USA, Mutual of Omaha, and Jim Henson Productions, Inc.

In one of the largest transactions of his career, De Luca represented Theatre Row Phase II Associates in the sale of a full-block, 67,000-square-foot site between Dyer and Tenth avenues, between 41st and 42nd streets. The property was sold to the buyer as-of-right for the development of more than 1 million square feet of new product.

“James is a creative, entrepreneurial broker who provides a full scope of real estate services, with a focus on corporate clients both in New York and other markets,” says Joseph Harbert, president of Colliers International's eastern region. “He is a dynamic professional who will help us expand our market reach.”

Neither firm returned GlobeSt.com's request for comment by press time.
