Philadelphia, PA—The Eastern Pennsylvania Affiliate Chapter of the National ACE Mentor Program has named Joseph W. Healy, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, a managing principal of Wallace Roberts & Todd, to its board of directors.

Founded in 1994, the ACE Mentor Program helps to mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. It is the construction industry's fastest-growing high school mentoring program, reaching over 8,000 students annually. ACE partners with a variety of industry professionals in an effort to inspire new generations of talent.

“Joe's role as a managing principal of an established architectural firm will help bring wider exposure to the program, its activities, and most importantly, to the students the ACE Mentor Program serves. We're so glad to have him,” says Tiffany Millner, ACE Eastern Pennsylvania affiliate director.

“Serving on the board of directors of the ACE Mentor Program is truly an honor. I am proud to be a part of such an important and impactful program that educates and provides meaningful experiences to our future architects and designers,” says Healy.

Healy is part of the core leadership of WRT's national housing practice, with a particular focus on affordable housing and senior living. Healy has advocated sustainable design throughout his 28-year career. His project work includes a wide range of historic and adaptive reuse buildings, throughout which he has threaded sustainable principles. He has won numerous awards, most recently for the Blue Ball Dairy Barn in New Castle, DE, a historic and adaptive reuse project that garnered both a Gold LEED rating and the highest Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects in Philadelphia.
