Yahoo Moves Offices to Playa Vista

LOS ANGELES—The tech giant signs a long-term 130,000-square-foot lease at the Collective Campus in Playa Vista, a move that will bring 400 Yahoo employees to town.

LOS ANGELES—Yahoo has signed a 130,000-sqaure-foot lease with Tishman Speyer at the Collective Campus in Playa Vista, CA. The lease will move the tech giant’s offices from Santa Monica to Los Angeles, along with 400 of its employees.

The announcement came out of Mayor Eric Garcetti‘s office. The Mayor has been pushing for companies to migrate into the city. “I’m proud that Yahoo is moving to Los Angeles and sending a strong message to the business community that our city is where the next big thing is going to be,” says Mayor Garcetti. “This move proves that L.A. is accelerating as a center of technology and entertainment, to the benefit of our overall economy and every Angeleno.”
