Charlie Hebdo, and the follow on reaction, with the leaders of every major country, plus Israel and Abbas marching together, and the follow on sale of 5 million copies, was a massive show of support for freedom of expression. It was indicative of this administration that not even Holder, who was present right there in Paris, showed up. The White House sent Holder running to Ferguson and then three officials to the White House  to attend the funeral of a thug who tried to kill a white cop, but they could not bring themselves to join the rest of the world to stand up for freedom in Paris.  Holder ran to Ferguson, but he jumped on a plane and ran away from Paris.  On Friday David Cameron made a very impassioned statement emphasizing the war we are all waging against Islamic terror. Obama stood next to him, using body language that said, I could not really care, and he refused to use the words Islamic terror. The point of all of this is starting with Obama and Holder, the message to academia has been, it is wrong to say anything that in any way can be imagined by Muslims or blacks to be “hurtful”. Free speech is now only permitted in tiny “free speech designated spaces” on campuses, and nothing “hurtful” can be spoken. Speeches by prominent people who are perceived by Muslims or blacks to not be agreeing with what these groups want to hear are barred from being speakers at commencement or other events. The president of Smith College is not even allowed to say “all lives matter” and apologized for making such a “hurtful” and “disrespectful” statement.  That she thought she had to apologize is a glaring example of how the thought police are trying to control even the most inclusive and reasonable speech, and how fearful and intimidated even a college president has become. This is now at a point of blatant intimidation of free speech in America. The last time I read the constitution it said free speech is allowed anywhere in America. Not just in little corners of a campus. I was always taught that the whole point of a university education is the free exchange of ideas to allow students to make free choices of their beliefs. George Orwell would say I told you so, with what we are seeing now on American campuses. It is 1984 come to reality.

My point of all of this is the counter point of Charlie, and the outpouring of the non Muslim world in support of free speech, while the real terrorists and deniers of free speech are the administration and almost all of academia. While none of this has to do with real estate, it has everything to do with America, and what we stand for, and the constitution. In the name of political correctness gone berserk, Obama refuses to use the word Islamic alongside terror. Sun Tzu, the great warrior, said, first you must identify and know your enemy. If it is considered politically incorrect to say Islamic terror, and to state that we are at war with Islamic extremism, then we have lost.
