NEW YORK CITY—This year's ALM LegalTech New York, the world's largest and most prestigious legal technology event, will play host to its most impressive line-up of keynote speakers yet, with top legal executives from Microsoft, Twitter and Facebook headlining the opening day discussion panels. The event—which will take place from February 3-5 at the Hilton New York in Midtown—will feature 22 educational tracks focused on pressing technology issues and innovative information for improving law practice management.
The opening day keynote panel will tackle subjects related to cybersecurity, privacy and data protection legal challenges in the digital age. The speakers include Jon Palmer, assistant general counsel, litigation and antitrust legal and corporate affairs at Microsoft Corp.; Laura Pirri, legal director, products at Twitter; and Edward Palmieri, director & associate general counsel, privacy and regulatory at Facebook.
“This is an exciting time for the legal marketplace, and the caliber of speakers we have been able to attract is a testament to this,” says Henry Dicker, VP of ALM Events. “It is crucial that law firms and legal departments have the resources to approach possible challenges and make informed decisions to meet their future technology needs. The prominent experts scheduled to speak at LegalTech, along with the presentation of educational material, will make this an extremely valuable and necessary event for legal professionals.”??
LegalTech New York 2015 includes concurrent tracks of educational programming across all three days, as well as “emerging technology” sessions and “super sessions” that are open to everyone. Attendees are eligible to earn CLE credits over the course of the show.
Among the sessions and speakers presenting on day two of the conference is “Leading Innovation: Jumpstarting Your Organization's Growth Engine,” with Dr. Jeff DeGraff, professor of management and organizations at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan (presented by Discover Ready).
