MORRISTOWN, NJ –Toronto-based Avison Young has significantly expanded its presence in New Jersey with a new, 16,500-square-foot office lease to occupy a full floor in the North Tower of Headquarters Plaza in Morristown.
The lease, which comes just over two years since the firm entered the New Jersey market, doubles the size of Avison Young's New Jersey office and will accommodate the firm's future growth as it continues to recruit top talent, says Jeffrey Heller, Avison Young principal and managing director of the firm's New Jersey office.
“Since entering the New Jersey market, Avison Young has invested significantly in establishing a strong local presence through high-level recruiting and the strategic acquisition of industry-leading companies,” says Heller. “With our new office space, all of our New Jersey-based professionals are now able to work together in one location, enhancing the cross-disciplinary collaboration that is the cornerstone of our success and company culture.”
Avison Young entered the Tri-State market in 2012 and has since established a powerful regional presence, with offices in New Jersey, New York City, Long Island and Fairfield/Westchester. The company's new office lease at Headquarters Plaza coincides with announcements that all of the firm's Tri-State offices have signed leases to expand their local offices to support the firm's aggressive expansion throughout the region, across the United States and overseas.
The new office expansion will also have sustainable features, says Heller.
“We're also pleased to reaffirm our commitment to sustainability by leveraging the expertise of our project management team to create an interior build-out for our New Jersey office designed to achieve LEED certification,” he says.
Over the past six years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 62 offices and from 300 to more than 1,700 real estate professionals in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
