NEW YORK CITY—Suzy Reingold, the former Cushman & Wakefield executive who sued the firm on charges of age and sex discrimination, has signed on to serve as a consultant to Colliers International, confirms Joe Harbert, eastern region president for the latter firm.

The seasoned industry veteran will advise Colliers on its educational programs, he says. No further information on her role at the firm—or whether she'll be working for the company full-time—was available at press time.

In the fall of 2013, Reingold brought suit against C&W for $20 million because, she alleged, she was passed up for a promotion to president of the tri-state region for a younger man. Reingold, who was 66 at the time of the suit, was considered the heir apparent for the position after it was vacated in 2012—by none other than Harbert.

In fact, Reingold charged, she was assured by Jim Underhill, C&W CEO at the time, that, “the job is yours.” It was eventually given to Ron Lo Russo, a 38-year-old outsider to the firm. Reingold stayed at the firm while the suit was played out but she and Cushman reportedly reached a settlement and then Reingold left the firm in December.

Neither Reingold nor Harbert could be reached for further comment at press time. Watch GlobeSt.com for updates on this story as information becomes available.
