PHOENIX—Waramaug Hospitality, a private investment group, unveiled the newly revitalized Hilton Phoenix Airport hotel. The 259-room property at the Phoenix International Airport has undergone a $7.5 million renovation ($29,000 per room) over the last six months.

The renovation includes all new guestrooms and bathrooms, corridors, public spaces and a completely new lobby featuring a Starbucks outlet and Hilton Connectivity Zone. The property also had major infrastructure work completed such as a new HVAC system, high speed internet system, façade painting and landscaping. Located 1.5 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, the hotel has complimentary airport transportation and appeals to the business traveler. Guests staying at the property will enjoy the stylish finishes in the renovated lobby and can unwind in guest rooms ideally redesigned for a relaxing stay.

Jay Litt, Waramaug Hospitality's executive vice president, tells GlobeSt.com, “The brand required ownership to upgrade. We acquired the hotel in January of 2014 with the proposed improvement plan by Hilton. With the new entrance, new pavement and new landscaping, the sense of arrival has improved—and the lobby has had a change of architecture. There is a newly constructed bar and restaurant, and ballroom and meeting rooms. The guest rooms are 100% new. This is a brand new hotel that has served proudly and is now entering a whole new world of hospitality and design.
