LOS ANGELES—Savills Studley has promoted three of its Los Angeles area executives—Corey Davidson, Laura Whelan and Matt Abney. Davidson has been named executive managing director in the firm's West Los Angeles office, while Whelan has taken on the role of corporate managing director and Abney becomes director of project management.
Davidson, who has been with the company since 2001, formerly served as senior managing director in the corporate services group. “I am thankful for the recognition of my work, especially as it comes during such an exciting time following last year's merger of Savills and Studley,” Davidson tells GlobeSt.com about his promotion. In his elevated role, he will continue to consult corporate financing clients on commercial real estate, developing strategic brokerage services for clients in global markets. “My main objective is to continue to deliver value to our clients through our strategic consulting and transactional services, and to leverage our new global platform to expand our reach throughout the world,” he says.
Whelan has been with the firm since 2007, and formerly served at managing director of the Savills Studley project management group, where she oversees everything from high-end tenant improvements to mixed-use commercial properties and high-end urban developments. Likewise, Abney is also a member of the firm's project management group. In his new role as director, he will focus on commercial site selection and tenant relocation while overseeing the budget and cost management. “As project managers, our goal is to ensure a seamless real estate transaction through occupancy and beyond for our clients,” Abney tells GlobeSt.com. “The recent growth in Savills Studley's Los Angeles project management group reflects the continued success our team has had in serving our clients and our commitment to maintain the highest level of service.”
Savills Studley's Chicago office also got a new boost in leadership with the promotion of Robert Sevim and Eric Feinberg, two of its veterans, to co-heads of its Chicago office. Sevim will also assume the title of EVP and Feinberg will become SVP.
