SAN DIEGO—HREC Investment Advisors has arranged the sale of the 175-guestroom Holiday Inn San Diego Mission Valley Stadium. The buyer is a regional hotel investor that has a plan for the future potential of the property. The seller is a Special Servicer that acquired the hotel through foreclosure.
HREC Investment Advisors was the seller's exclusive representative. The sale was negotiated by Mike Armstrong, principal in the San Diego office.
"This sale represents another successfully structured transaction for HREC. California continues to be one of the strongest hotel markets in the country. As a result, California hotels continue to attract a wide range of domestic and international investors," said Armstrong.
The hotel is located about three miles from Qualcomm Stadium, home to the San Diego Chargers National Football League franchise. The hotel retains a visible location directly off of I-15, which provides direct asset south to the downtown San Diego (10 miles), and north to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (5 miles).
