NEW YORK CITY—Avison Young has hired commercial real estate office leasing specialist Michael Frantz has joined the firm to bolster its office brokerage practice.

Effective immediately, Frantz joins Avison Young as a senior director, bringing 24 years of commercial real estate experience representing both tenants and landlords. Previously, Frantz was with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where he negotiated in excess of three million square feet of transactions on behalf of both tenants and landlords. He has been with that firm since 1996.

“Michael's vast knowledge of the entire real estate process, from lease analysis to repositioning and building renovations, combined with his background in marketing, has earned him a high-quality reputation in the industry,” says Arthur Mirante, Avison Young principal and tri-state president. “Leadership from industry veterans like Michael is critical to an efficient and consistent client service model, and we're extremely pleased to welcome him to our team.”

Frantz has served as the exclusive leasing agent and asset manager for more than four million square feet of office space in New York City. He has represented financial services firms, advertising agencies, architecture and engineering firms, not-for-profit agencies, technology companies and various family and institutional property landlords. He carefully and studiously guides clients through the complicated processes and timely restraints of the commercial real estate transaction to maximize the final result.
