LOS ANGELES—Chicago-based office and industrial developer and investor Bridge Development Partners has opened its first West Coast office in Los Angeles. The firm has tapped Brian Wilson to lead the office as principal and over see the new region.
“Los Angeles and Southern California is the largest and most desirable industrial real estate market in the Untied States from both a capital and tenant perspective,” Tony Pricco, a principal at Bridge Development Partners, tells GlobeSt.com. “The market fundamentals, fueled in large part by the nation's busiest Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, made expanding into the West Coast Bridge's logical next step as it continues to grow its platform nationally. Opening the office in Los Angeles allows Bridge Development Partners to leverage its vast experience and substantial equity along with Brian Wilson's market knowledge to source industrial development and acquisition opportunities across the region.”
This is Bridge Development's fourth office nationwide. In addition to it's headquarters in Chicago, the developer opened an office in Miami, Florida in 2009 and another in New Jersey last year. In this market, they plan to carry out their broader business strategy and growth plans, according to Pricco. “Bridge Development Partners will focus its efforts on institutional quality infill industrial development and acquisitions from a value-add perspective,” he says. “Bridge will rely on its entrepreneurial foundation and aggressive outlook to thrive in the ultra-competitive real estate landscape of Southern California.”
Wilson is the perfect fit to carry out the company's business plan on this coast. In his storied career, he has led the sale or purchase of more than 9.1 million square feet of industrial or office product, and has transacted more than $1 billion in lease, sale or purchase transactions for past clients that include Fortune 100 companies. He joins the company from Hillwood Investment Properties, where he was hired in 2008 as the marketing and development director of Southern California.
