I have read from time to time about how “net neutrality” or otherwise keeps government out of the Internet regulatory business. Well, it now has my attention. ObamaCare is now superseded by ObamaNet, the administration's plan to regulate the Internet.

Yesterday the Wall Street Journal carried an Op-Ed slamming the administration for running a viral election-like campaign and browbeating the FCC Commissioner in order to drive a decision to make the Internet subject to the Title II Communications Act of 1934 (hmmm 1934, sounds a bit out of date). From the investigation that I have been able to do thus far, it appears that ObamaNet sets the stage to end the era of open innovation on the Internet making it subject to FCC bureaucrats who will determine what should be online and how it will be delivered.

Yet again, another next generation giant step toward big government.
