LOS ANGELES—JLL has hired Mike Ruppert as senior managing director of the Southwest region in the firm's property management group, GlobeSt.com has learned exclusively. In this new role, Ruppert will serve as the management lead for the region, under Southwest market director Peter Belisle and president of property management Dan Pufunt, to help build client relationships and drive portfolio values. Ruppert will be based in the firm's Downtown L.A. office.
“I was attracted by the culture of collaboration, service and teamwork. I also had the perspectives of longstanding client relationships that spoke highly of the JLL brand, the platform, resources and service experience they had with JLL,” Ruppert tells GlobeSt.com about his attraction to the firm. “Ultimately the firm's focus on further building investor services, like property management, agency leasing and capital markets in the Southwest region with institutional and investor clients was a good fit for me.”
Ruppert has a storied 25-year career in property management. Before joining JLL, he served in leadership roles at companies including public office REIT RE Services & Development Firms. Ruppert has experience working on office, retail, industrial and medical office portfolios, and will leverage this experience to drive growth in JLL's property management group.
“I believe my goals going into this role revolve around three main objectives,” says Ruppert. “Frist, I will provide best in class service delivery and create value for the customers we serve. Secondly, I will foster a culture of partnership and expand relationships with investor clients, and finally, I will execute with a seamless alignment and integration of services across property management, agency leasing and investment sales.”
Several property management firms are experiencing a growth spurt. Recently, CHM and Warnick + Co. merged together to form CHMWarnick, the world's largest hotel asset management company. The combined hotel portfolio is valued at $8 billion.
