PHOENIX—LeDonna Spongberg, a retail leasing professional, has joined the CBRE's Phoenix office as a first vice president.

Spongberg comes to CBRE to join regional retail leaders from the United Commercial Realty urban leasing team. Dallas-based UCR was acquired by CBRE earlier this year. Locally Spongberg will partner with vice president Traci Russell to provide comprehensive retail services for clients in Phoenix and the surrounding markets. In her new role, she will lead the firm's urban retail initiative in the Southwest region focusing on the urban, lifestyle and high street retail markets.

“LeDonna is the perfect complement to our team of best-in-class retail professionals,” says Craig Henig, CBRE's senior managing director and Arizona market leader. “Her experience, gained while working with some of the most high-profile retail developers and owner/operators in the market, enhances CBRE's reach and capabilities to serve the diverse group of retailers across Metropolitan Phoenix and throughout the region.”

A seasoned retail professional, Spongberg has more than 15 years of specialized leasing experience and has leased more than 3.5 million square feet of specialty retail shopping centers over the course of her career. She has been instrumental in leasing some of the most high-profile retail assignments in Metropolitan Phoenix, including Scottsdale Quarter, Scottsdale Waterfront, Desert Ridge and Tempe Marketplace, Uptown Plaza and Lincoln Scottsdale Marketplace, among others. In addition to her local leasing expertise, she has also provided consulting services to well-known projects in other markets, such as the Streets at South Glenn in Denver and Chisholm Creek in Oklahoma.

Spongberg holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in business and marketing from Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE.
