NEW YORK CITY—Eastern Consolidated has appointed Scott Burk, Esq. a director in its investment sales team, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY. A Brooklyn expert, Burk specializes in the sales and acquisition of retail, mixed-use, multifamily and hotel assets, and working with 1031 buyers.

It was unclear at press time whether Burk's hire was done to create a new position or whether he replaces someone.

Prior to joining Eastern Consolidated, Burk served as a managing director at CPEX Real Estate, where he managed a high performing investment sales team and completed almost 40 transactions in the last three years.

Burk was a commercial real estate attorney at Thompson Hine and Paul Hastings, Janofsky and Walker, where he assisted REIT's, institutional lenders, developers, private investors, landlords, and tenants with all of their real estate needs.

“Scott is a Rising Star who joins our team with an impressive brokerage and legal background, and a strong list of accomplishments, particularly in the hot Brooklyn marketplace,” says Daun Paris, president of Eastern Consolidated. “The confluence of Scott's skills, knowledge, and client orientation, and Eastern Consolidated's platform will result in our ability to better serve our clients in Brooklyn and the rapid expansion of our market share.”

Among his notable transactions in Brooklyn, Burk arranged the $8.6 million sale of 368 & 584 Myrtle Ave. and 134 Kingsland Ave.; the $5.3 million sale of 110-112 North 6th St. and a series of transactions on Court street, including the over $2 million sale of 220 Court St., the nearly $5 million sale of 228-230 Court St. and the close to $2 million sale of 546 Court St.
